About

Owner/Operator

Todd Blubaugh is a cinematographer/photographer/director based in CA. Growing up in Kansas, Todd learned the synergy of two machines - the motorbike and the camera.

These two passions led him to pursue a career in the arts. After graduation from the University of Kansas he moved to the Pacific Northwest to work as the in-house photo director at K2 Ski and Snowboard. After almost a decade there, he quit his job and hit the road to author his first book (TOO FAR GONE). Since then his work has focused on the iconic imagery of American motorbikes and automotive at large.  His unique approach to storytelling has created a new standard of authenticity for the road lore genre.

Todd’s lifetime of experience with motorbikes and cameras lends a specialized perspective in the way he captures machinery in motion.

His most recent work includes season 1 & 2 of HBO’s On the Roam and the Harley Davidson 2024 Model Year Campaign.

the Cine Bike

This fully electric Zero FXE is an on or off-road camera dolly with 105 miles of range, and can move at any speed up to 85mph. A fully electric vehicle with no motor vibration or sound - capable of balancing any cinema camera and lens combo to the front or back.  Use this handy tool for a slow dolly push or a high speed chase…it can do it all.

If your budget does not allow for a chase team, we have operators on our team that can ride and operate camera at the same time – effectively eliminating the need for a follow car. With no motor vibration or sound - the Cine Bike has massive potential to shoot slow dolly pushes, or a high speed chase. Given its size and capability, the Cine Bike is capable of sharing the same lane as its subject, particularly when shooting other bikes. Utilisation of this state of the art tool makes motion camera work easy, without compromising on speed, efficiency or what cameras it can mount.

The Cine Bike is a simple solution to any dynamic shot. Let us help you save time and money on any action sequence or dolly move. Conveniently, the camera height is also quick and easy to adjust on the fly. Plus we offer special single unit operators who can effectively control focus, gimbal and zoom from the bike. Please email us with any questions. We’d love to ride with your production.
